Anyone got any ideas of what we could use. We want something like a extra room (canvas)that we could attach to the back of a 4x4 hilux dual cabin ute. The idea is we want to sleep in the back of the ute and could use this for a extra privacy.

Try rooftop tent manufacturer's etc. Some make awnings with zip on walls.

I saw a Land Cruiser ute recently wich had a canopy and an oz tent with awning overlapping the back of the vehicle which looked like a pretty good set up.An arrangement like that may be suitable.
