Thanks to the guys who prompted me to do something about our cracked wheels. Looks like Nissan have come to the party and are replacing all the wheels for new ones next week. Big thumbs up for Nissan in Melbourne, and Corban Auto Group in Nowra (formerly Nowra Nissan ).

Hi Stefan,I didn't go in with guns drawn and scream my head off (dont believe in that approach). Spoke to Nissan in Melbourne first, then was told to take the offending wheel into local dealer's service manager to get a report and appraisal done by him(with photo's he took) he then contacted Melb office again and when I rang today ( about 4 days later) the service manager informs me that the wheels will be here next week and I will organise my own tyre guys to do the fitting. Old wheels will be sent back to Melbourne by the dealer here. Very impressed with their service and the way it was handled.Basically said that I was concerned about when the other fatiuged wheels could let go as well, because we will be travelling Oz and racking up quite a few k's as of next month, and where would Nissan stand if the vehicle rolled and both occupants were seriously injured or killed?

How old were your wheels? How much effort was it to get them replaced?

I have one that is cracked about 2/3rds the way across one spoke, but they are now a few years old (2001) and are starting to show the effects of having done some miles on the dirt and off road.
Cheers

Wayne
