Hi,
Can anyone recommend a Diesel mechanic in the
Brisbane area. Someone genuine & not over the top with expenses. I want to get my 4'bie top to tailed before my next 3 month cross oz trip.
Cheers
Jason

I use P&R Autos at Geebung - family affair - contact Barry Paton - 3265 2069. Very honest, old school. Good with diesel.
FOr Southside try Paul Geary Automotive.
Kingston Rd Slacks Ck. 38083455 - he's highly recommended but Slacks Crk is so too far for me.
Also Tony Reed at Kelvin Grove 3839 2739 is often mentioned on here as
well.
Cheers
John

Hey
John,
A couple of the forumites over the other side of town use Paul Geary. I have used him once also and found him very friendly and cheap but the work was done to good standard, just a shame, I am so far on the northside or he would have my business too.
Hope your travels are going
well.
Trevor.

I use Nudgee Automotive, Crockford St Northgate. I was refered to him by another
forum regular and have been happy ever since. He is hard to get into sometimes as he is very busy but does a good honest job IMO.
If you want more details, let me know.
Regards, Trevor.

I recommend Diesel Australia, at Allgas Street Slacks Creek...Did my injector pump up on my Patrol and absolutely no problems with them at all. Did everything they said they would in the timeframe, quite reasonably priced, and took time out to do diagnostics for me before I commited to anything (More than I can say for the Nissan Dealer I originally went to who charged me just to do the diagnostics and then still got it wrong). I would not hesitate to return my vehicle to them for any type of diesel work..
Good luck and have a great trip!!

QDAD at darra are pretty good aswell, i got them to install my turbo and intercooler. all done on time and for the price quoted, when i got the turbo installed Matt rang me on the morning of the day it was supposed to be picked up, and asked if i knew the front brake pads needed doing (answer was yes but had forgotten all about them), i was impressed that he was looking all over the vehicle even though it was only there to get the turbo installed.
