Forumites,
Just completed a trip to Tasmania, apart from the spectacular
views on Mt
Wellington which I might add was extremely cold,
Port Arthur was
well worth the visit,
Richmond steeped in History and loads of other great touristy type activities. The three litre TD had a faultless 8000 klm round trip. Fantastic, always wary when you here so many negative comments around these early Nissans, mines coming up to 180 thousand faultless klms now. Just thought I would post a positive comment.
Great Ocean road was a treat on the way back, awesome
views to put it mildly. Averaged around 11.0 litres / 100 klms which was a pleasant surprise, with a chip, not towing this time but fully laden, over 3 tonne. $1.90 was the highest price I witnessed on the Nullarbor, didn't pay that due to a long range tank thank goodness.
I replaced my cracked windscreen before I left thinking it would be pretty safe, nah, stones chips after 700 klms and one big road train, can't win.
I saw an EO sticker on a hilux I think it was towing a caravan at one of the Australian Bight car parks, no one to be seen.
All the very best to you all for the new year.
