Hi All

There has been a bit of talk about adjustable height fridge slides. I've put a few pictures of my system under my rig pic.

All I've done is put a couple of hinges at the back of the slide and some sliding door bolts at the front to hold it in place.

The outcome is that the fridge slides back then just tilts downward so you can open the door and see what you're looking for. Surprisingly, it's not too heavy to lift back up into position.

I've used this for several years now and have no complaints - even from SWMBO!

Mike

Mike, what a great idea. I just hope the hinges are secured well enough to stop it going A over T at some point.Well done.

We should see more of these ideas on here to help people set up there vehicle.

Agree Shane. Making the stuff we need is half the fun. Plus it gives us more money to spend on fuel...(and beer)

I've made a basic storage system for my 4Runner. Now I am going to expand on what I have made, with a side & front barrier, some sliding plastic tubs, and a top shelf. Also going to make a swing away jerry can holder for the RHS that holds 2 cans, as well as renovating / modifying my Kaymar swing away wheel carrier.

Louie, i have made a few things myself.
battery tray, oil catch can, draws for rear, fuel tank for the gu that fits in the hollow when the back seats are up, fitted york compressor to gu, making a shelf that goes from side to side behind front seats about 400mm from roof. this is to sit the kids (birds) on when we travel, all out of aluminum.
have other things on must do before mid year trip.
cheers shane.

I made my own over centre latch. copied the one on the opposite lock wheel carrier i have,
nice and easy to use and never rattled loose on some very rough roads/tracks,

if you email me i can email some more pics if you need. my email is on my home page.
