Hi All!

Was thinking to go Flinders during Easter. Biggest question is it would be still too hot at the and of March?

Thanks

That time of year it can be highly variable. Southern Flinders it can get warm and Norther flinders you can still get the odd day in the mid-high 30's but on average you will be looking at days in the mid to high 20's, on the flip side it could also be cold and raining. I would think as long as your prepared for both extremes you should be fine, our club is planning on doing a trip to Birdsville in early March to see the floods.

Cheers

Now is the only time you own
Decide now what you will,
Place faith not in tomorrow
For the clock may then be still

Have been there a few weeks later than Easter one year and it was about 38C each day - was quite a trial during the middle of the day - its all a gamble - as said above, its all about being able to cope with whatever is dished up by him/her (insert deity of choice here) upstairs !

Serg

Go to Forecasts on the Forum Page
Click on Leigh Creek and all will be revealed.

March average temp is 31 and April average temp is 26

So a pretty even and warm temp.

You're talking about a 4 day spell. It may be quite hot those 4 days, 36 plus, or a comfortable mid 20's. As Willem wrote average is 31 so be prepared for some warmth. I also would not forget cool weather gear as nights still may get chilly.

If you're going to Northern flinders, Arkaroola way, the average in March 29, april 25. Check the bureu of meteorology website for temp and rainfall averages.

Enjoy the Flinders. They are great.

Serg as everyone else said im going to same much the same.

Was up there last weekend and had 37 to 39 Deg. days, we did most of our walking in the morning from about 7am to 1pm and drove the rest of the time in a air con vehicle.

It was about 32 Deg. at night.

Spent the afternoon on Saturday in the pool.

So much to see with in 150k of Wilpena Pound.

You may want to look at basing youreslf at Rawnsley Park Station much much better the the pound.

We try and get up there about 4 times a year.

Thanks everyone for comments and suggestions. I am thinking now to shift my trip toward to end of April because hate when it is too hot. From another hand sleeping in tent at sub-zero does not really bother me.

Thanks again
