G'day,
Just a quick question regarding starter motor removal. I am having trouble getting to the top bolt on my 2h 60 series cruiser. Is this a socket/ratchet job or do i need horseshoe spanner or something else odd? Am very frustated as i couldnt get at it. Sorry but really need some advice. Thanks, Pan.

hi i helped my father do one on his 60 and we found it easier to take the edic motor off and get a socket in there then. found it easier to get to wires get the starter out and back in. for only a couple more bolts (3 think) saved us a lot of time

I no longer have my HJ60 but from memory I was able to get the top bolt off by using a long socket extension with a universal joint and a socket on the end of that. The universal joint and long socket extension is also useful to undo the top bolts on the bell housing if you ever need to do work on the gearbox or clutch.

John
