Hi All,
Currently planning a trip in the se gulf area and just wondering if anyone has driven this road.
It turns off the Savanah Way approximately 60 west of
Georgetown and continues via Strathmore (property?), Miranda Downs and Glencoe to pick up the Burke Developmental Road east of
Karumba.
Any info greatly appreciated.
Regards
Ross

Hi
Ross,
Thought I could help but haven't taken that route before. Sounds interesting. Just realised how old my Atlas is - it doesn't have that road connecting from
Wallabadah to Miranda Downs
Note to self - Update atlas.
Happy Traveling
Cheers
Jason

Hello 4x4 falcon & Jason,
My Hema maps 2007 don't show a road connecting from
Wallabadah to Miranda Downs either. The only place I've been able to find a roadmap showing a road there was the BOM floodwarnings for the Gilbert River and that does show a road following the river through to Miranda Downs.
Perhaps a thought would be to phone the Etheridge Shire council which includes
Georgetown in its boundaries. They might be able to give you some up to date info.
Other than that I hope that someone on the
forum has travelled on the road and can help you.
