I have been searching for a 97 (or there abouts) Troopy diesel for a couple of weeks. I am in SA a most of the Troopcarriers have to much rust for my liking. Is this normal for a Troopy? If any one knows where I can find a tight and tidy Troopy please point me in the right direction. I am prepared to go to Vic for the right vehicle.
Thanks in advance
Alex

Hi pacf,
Have you had a look in carpoint.
There are currently 22 troopies for sale in that model range
(HZJ75RV).
Also look at Government auctions for one.
I have had good success there as
well. Govt vehicles are generally
well maintained etc. But rust can be a problem in any vehicle.
Cheers,
Glen

Biggest wekness with 2nd hand tojos is there not nissans WHAT? yep
if it was not for the fact they are the toughest comercial vehicle the majority would not be thrashed out work vehicles or
mine hacks.
try (yes it is hard) and get a privatly owned tojo.
Alot of private owning bitumen drivers go the nisssan due to lower price
- but they are out there

I bought my 85 model (150K) 2 years ago for $4K in
Canberra.
No rust etc.. The owner tells me that you can't sell them here.. he advertised for 2 months and I was the first to look.
If your prepared to
check some photo's and maybe fly you might be able to save a packet of money looking in other states...
Matt
