Good day all,
Maybe a silly question but I want to remove my rear deflector and was just wondering which is the best way to remove the double sided tape that is used to join the plastic to the body.
Cheers Walter

Hi Walter,
to get the deflector off, use a piece of fishing line and work it back and
forth through the double sided tape.
Try and keep it near the body and it will help you to get the tape off.

Very careful use of a heat gun or hair dryer to melt the glue ...

I use RP7, CRC, WD40, Inox etc. They all work on sticker glue. Squirt sparingly wait a minute then rub gently.

I reckon it's always a good idea to take note of what the kids are doing. They are ALL use fishing line to remove the badges from their cars (apparently makes them go faster or something). So if it works for them - why not give it a go. You apparently use a bit of Turps or White Spirits to clean up any residual glue left on the surface.

Mortein Surface Spray will get most sticky adhesives off - it's a citrus oil base.
(While we are on cleaning tips Aeroguard will get grafitti off too, if you've not tried anything else first. A bloke down here had his White Navara tagged by kids and I told him about it. It worked - he was stoked.)
