Having had my Nissan 720 4WD with a Z22 petrol engine die last week, I have been offered a rebuilt Z24 motor and told they are totally interchangeable. Can anyone confirm this ? I'm concerned that flange bolt holes, gearbox spline & length and manifolds are the same ?

short answer, yes. Had the same motor in the motorhome and it let go. The only difference is a slightly taller stroke.
