I am running bridgestone d694,s on my 96 2.8lt patrol and the tyre guy suggested i try these nexon AT 265/70/15s. They retail for around $185.00 each and says he has had good reports.
I only need to replace two tyres and wanted to keep the same tread pattern on all rims. Should I stick with the bridgie d694 at $265.00 or are these nexen,s any good?
Cheers

Hi patrolman,
There's 2 schools of thought here....
1. You get what you pay for
and
2. You get a great cheap deal!!
I believe Nexen and Roadstar are made in the same Korean factory. I can't speak for Nexen specifically, but I have Roadstar 235/75R15LT on my van (tandem) and have recently completed a 14,000km trip from
Perth up along the GCR to Alice then Dawin,
Kimberley,
Pilbara and back
home. The tyres performed faultlessly and with proper care should last a goodly while.
I realise this is not the same as having Nexen/Roadstar on a vehicle
(with driven wheels etc.) but at least they've done the business for me on the van.
Cheers

I have had them for a little over 2000km. So far so good. Very quiet on the road, good handling.
I have only had them off road once, that was on beach sand. Seemed to handle that alright.
When I brought them, I was looking for a AT. These tyres have some 5oo wear rating, which apparently is very good. So far im impressed
