Hey all,

Just wondering if anyone knows if there is a coolant drain point on the engine block on a 3RZ-FE (2.7L Hilux 4x2 Dual cab 02 model).

I know there is a drain cock on the bottom of the radiator but couldn't seem to locate one on the engine block?

Cheers
Chris.

Chris,

I could be wrong but I don't think that the motor would have a drain plug.
As you say the one in the radiator and that is the only one that I know of.

You will find the drain point on the block. As you look at the motor from the front it is on the left hand side, half way down towards the front. You will need a 21mm socket to remove the bolt.About 2 litres of coolant will come out when the bolt is removed.

Thanks for the replies fellas,

Glenn you were spot on! I could only see it from underneath the vehicle, just above the Drivers side engine mount.

Cheers
