Got the LPG fitted to the Courier a few days back. Nasty pong of gas in the cabin/cockpit (should that be called the box office in these days of equal opportunity?).

Call dealer. Bring it in he says. Ok when I get a chance says I.

I refilled the LPG after just 90 km and the bastard took 26 litres. HMMM, that pong suggests a significant leak.

Got out the dishwashing detergent, mixed with a little water and went hunting for the leak. My schnoz told me the approximate area and the mix when poured over it confirmed it. The gas was pouring out at such a rate that bubbles didn't have a chance to form.

Got a spanner and tightened a seriously loose fitting. Problem solved.

Don't they teach these clowns the basics any more, or am I over critical?

"am I over critical?"
Well that depends if you chose the cheapest installer but then even they should have done a simple leak test.
Cheers Craig...........

Thing that annoys me the most about these and other stories of the like is, this bloke has made a mistake (god forbid shoot him for being human), but his response is to want to fix the problem for the customer, you chose to fix your self( well done pat on the back) then criticize and name call.
Take same scenario different profession. You buy new computer, works fine accept for some small glitch, go to Microsoft and get sold fix for some exchange of coin, go home happy.
Why do we put up with mediocre service from so many industries be it information technology or government departments, but jump down the throat of the nearest tradesman?
