nm pajero timing belt half tooth out

here i have a question about the timing belt on my nm 3.5 petrol . when the marks are lined up on the cams the crank shaft timing mark is half a tooth out. any answers ? cheers

Slightly advanced cam timing should only give you different torque characteristics (a little more down low torque a little less top of range)
The good part is if I were you I would make sure it is all hunky dory because the 3.5 motor has no room for error. Go too far out and watch vaves become a casualty although it would take a jumping or broken belt usually.
Could just be a bodgy brand belt that is a poofteenth longer.
