Come now Willem I distinctly remember spending a very wet night in Peterborough caravan park, so wet most of the tenters ended up in the "campers recreation room" a la the laundry for the night.
The next morning we had to ford several flooded creek crossings to escape from Peterborough. It was our first long outback trip in the very late 70's and for many years we always regarded Peterborough as a very damp and wet place, funnily enough it was always raining when we went through on our way further north for quite a few trips through the early 80's.

Yeah mate............. that was then. Now, with Global Cooling in place ( it is 10 degrees at 9.10am in February, supposedly the hottest month of the year ) and no rain for 47 days so far, we are living up to our dry motto. Last year however, we had 376mm for the year compared to our annual average of 300mm

You had better come and visit again Peter, as we desperaterly need the rain!!!

Cheers

wish I could send you some of ours...rained nearly every day since before Xmas...just not fair is it ? Vineyards are spewing..mould and rot really affecting vintage this year...we wouldn't have had 10 days of real summer so far in total.

Cheers

Fred.

A company commodore will go places your privately owned and loved 4wd would only dream about.

I know I have taken the company truck to places I hope the boss never finds out about.
