Speed Week 2008 at Lake Gairdner has been indefinitely postponed due to the wet condition of the lake surface. What a bleep. After many late nights recently the car I have been helping to build is now ready to go and we are all dressed up and nowhere to race. Apparently there was a track inspection with the National Parks boys who got bogged on the lake and had to be recovered by some from the Salt Lake Racers. In December the Lake was inspected and they couldn't bang a spike into the surface it was that hard. Oh well nature can be a bleep.Image Could Not Be Found

You could always use it for work. Could be interesting if it goes fast enough.

It's a small block Chev with we reckon about 950 hp, it goes on the dyno in Adelaide this Wednesday, so we'll find out for sure then. We are hoping for around 175 mph this year but its a learning curve so we're not sure. Looks like we won't find out for a while either. It was a drag car shell, and has been plenty of work to convert to salt lake racer, the safety standards are higher, so changing back won't be so hard.

I once had the desire to put 'Moon' discs on my road going Munro.

Rod I can put up some more pics soon, we are hoping to be able to use an airstrip to at least give us some testing time since Speed Week is off for the moment, we are all busting to give it a good squirt.

Yeah I have, the disc is at work so I can get to it in the next couple of days, it wasn't blown, I think Super Sedan. We have eyes on a Littlefield Blower to up the ante soon. Where are you based.

My Home is in Ipswich, quite near Willowbank Raceway [drags],but we're treavellers and currently freecamping midway between Millmeran and Goondiwindi.
Good luck with the project,im a drag race fan myself but youve got a beautifull looking monaro. It looks fast just standing still LOL..

Look forward to some pics sometime... Rod
