Just wondering if anyone can tell me if, and where the Troopy has an OBD-11 port?
I have done a search and google etc posted on the troopy
forum but still do not know.
I have looked around under the dash but nothing seems obvious.
It is ECM computer controlled and has the drive by wire throttle, so I assume there must be a port somewhere?
I am not on good terms with the dealer where I bought it (long story!)
Brian
And yes I want to fit a Scangauge-11

Richard, my OBD2 socket is just under the plastic, above/behind the aircon ducting just in front of your left shin when sitting in the driving position. It is white, similar to a parallel port on a PC.

Richard,
Are you running a Scan gauge II? I had a look on the site and it didn't list 100s 4.2 TD (not imported to States) as being compatible, my guess it will be, any ideas?

Not running the Scangauge, just looking to make sure it will work! before I order one!
There site says all vehicles after a certain year but I'm the eternal cynic!
I have e=mailed them over the weekend so maybe will get a reply in a day or so?

Spot on mate! never noticed it being tucked away up there, and for some reason I assumed it would be black!
Can you let me know how yours goes when you get it delivered?(the Scangauge)
and where did you purchase it from?
I can get it from the states for $169 +freight USD.

don't know have asked the questing and are waiting, seem I may have been miss lead OBD-2 port only required in diesels after 2004... Petrol cars 2000, looks like Robyn gets the gauge LOL.
At least it could have turned up on the 14th.. :-)
Regards
Richard

LOL nice bloke you are :-)
Hoping to give the wife a Scangauge for Valentines day rather than a bunch of flowers. :-))
Then again I gave my ex wife a circular saw for her birthday once, bloody ungrateful woman didn't see the useful side of the gift :-)

Richard
Sorry about that!
What year is your Troopy?
Mine is one of the last 2006/7 model so are you saying mine may be ok? Or is it just incompatible with the Troopy?
Sorry for all the questions but i have not got another vehicle (only a Harley) so will be wasting my money if it will not work!

The data that the Yota is putting out, may not be compatible with OBD or OBD-II. The plug might be physically the same, but the protocols used are different.
I know there has been a bit of discussion on the Patrol
forum with regards to ODB scanners. So I am sure if you went to
http://www.lcool.org/, there is probably someone who has been down this path or might at least be able to shed some more light hopefully.
