Model is the 2000 4.2 turbo non intercooled. Exhaust cost was $680 which included a new flange that was 3inch straight from the Turbo instead of the restrictive 2 1/8 that is standard. Tune up was $600 and that included all new injectors adjusting the timing and playing around with the fuel pump. Totally different truck. Whish I had done it from new.

Errol, Nice looking truck you have got. To answer your question as yet i still haven't done a fuel check because i have been booting it a bit, but when this tank runs out i will keep some acurate figures. It seems to be using the same as before even though i have been up it alot, so with any luck and a lighter foot it should return beter figures.

Goona, I have the 2.8 GU Intercooled motor and the lack of grunt is sh#ting me. I wonder if this could solve my problems or am I just wishful thinking.

Every car 4wd i have ever owned i have out a bigger diameter exhaust on and a free flowing mufler etc and every time power hs gone up and economy is better. Have you tried speaking to Motsons turbo center in Brisbane? They do a power upgrade for the 2.8lt and from memory it gives about 30% more. Not sure on price but power will be close to the standard 4.2 turbo.

Well worth the dollars.
