Gunnie,
Would suggest that if your reflectors need cleaning, for other than a light covering of dust, then they might be stuffed. A wipe with a soft cloth shouldn't do any harm, but any hard rubbing may lift the chrome, or put scratches into the surface.
You should be able to pull them apart, as parts were available some time back. Get some Hella 4000's, you wont be disappointed! Hooroo...

Love my Hella 4000's - 3 years of hard work and they still burn the retinas out of insects!!!

Hi
Another way is to put some water in them, slosh it around to catch dust and empty. Do this a few times, then use metho or any other water dispersant, or simply put them out in the sun for the water to evapourate.

Gunnie, you cannot disassemble the lens/reflector.
Dozer has the right idea. I've cleaned Super Oscars several times by the method he desribes. Use distilled water to clean the reflector and, if need be, a soft bristled artists brush to get the dirt out from between the lens and reflector, rinse with distilled water and then meths to clean up any residual water droplets.
Like new again !!
