Would anyone have any videos/dvd's or comments on the Great Top Rd(Savanaah Way) between
Burketown and
Borroloola. We are hoping to travel this route in June/July but would like to take a van along it.

No- but I have the pace notes from
Borroloola (at the
Macarthur Riv Causeway) to
Burketown...
A mere 469.2 km in 6 hours at night. Left
Borroloola at 10.47 PM- arrived
Burketown 4.47 AM..Ooops- just checked 4.50AM (lost 3 mins on that stage)..

Hi Signman...That was certainly a pretty quick trip across the the Great Top Road. But the big question is..do you think the road is good enough to handle a caravan (a solid one).? Are there many river/creek crossings.? We don't mind a bit of rough going but we wouldn't attempt the trip if we were going to bottom out at every crossing. Also what time of the year did you travel?....Cheers. Barney
