It's time to travel....again

Hi all - The countdown has started. Early April we leave Brissie & spend 2.5 months heading up the coast to Cairns (nieces 2 b/day). From there it's over to Isa to meet friends & start our 3 month trek.

Isa to Alice to catch up with some old friends then its through the rock into WA down to Leonora then up through Meeka & onto Coral Bay (2 weeks there). Off up to Broome & surrounds (Cape Leveque etc). From there it's 2 weeks on the Gibb Rd Rd then down the Tanami back into Alice. Catch our breath then down through Mt Dare & across the Simpson to catch the Birdsville Races.

From there.......well...... which ever way the lights face is the way we will head......there is more to life than 9 to 5.

We too are off again (our 7th trip since 1999) in early April for an 8 week trip. You are going to have a ball and agree with you totally about there being more to life than 9 to 5. We will be doing the Simpson for the 4th time in mid May..........love that Desert!!

No major breakdowns but if planning a major trip especially into remote locations cheap insurance from your local auto club is the go.In Victoria it is RACV total care which gets you towed and even accommodation whilst they fix the car etc for under $180 per year.

Geeeez Willem,

My inturpretation of Forum and also the Oxford Dictionary is that "Forum" is a "Meeting for public discussion" which means that I can ask whatever questions I like, and the beauty is that you don't have to respond to them. So if you don't like my questions or anyone else's and you don't have anything nice to say try getting over yourself and butting out.
