Challenger/Triton parts compatability

A wrecker recently told me that Challengers are mounted on Triton running gear which makes major components fairly compatable. Has anyone had any experience with this?
Challengers dont appear in wreckers very often and I'm wondering if Triton wrecks may provide another source for bits.

Its true the triton is the same, the drive line is reliable so its hard to imagine you neading many parts. Eric
