Tobermorey Station ceased retail operations in December 2007.
No fuel, food, repairs or accommodaiton (or anything) is available from
Tobermorey after December 2007.
Nearest fuel is
Jervois Station or
Boulia (each are around 460km apart).
Travellers should not rely on
Tobermorey as a fuel stop irrespective of what your map says.

This is a worry for those with smaller fuel tanks but after my last stop there (May 2007) I'm not surprised. They'd already downgraded their
shop and accommodation from my previous visit in July 2006 and I suppose it was inevitable. However, when you consider that this is the quickest way from SEQ to the Red Centre it may mean that the necessary upgrading of this whole section from
Boulia to Gem Tree might be delayed. This may make Jervois more popular as a result but a run from Jervois to
Boulia can still be a long trek for some people.
