Hi all, just spent the last 3 days in the
Vic high country, with terrific days to boot. Spent the 1st nite at Willis, on the Barry way, and saw our first wild
Brumby, as we crossed Philips ck. Had another night at Anglers Rest, alongside the nice little stream there, and that night had some guys having a bucks party camped up the road from us stroll past on their way back from the pub, with the buck losing his clothes somewhere and being fully nude!! They very happily stopped and chatted with fellow campers and then quietly moved on. I must admit, the best behaved bucks party I have ever seen (apart from the nudity! Leave
Bright tomorrow and head for the goldfields .Image Could Not Be Found

We camped at
King Hut on the w'end and had some arseh0les decide to set up
camp at 1am, start the loudest gennie on earth and crank up the music until 4am. Utter disresect for other campers. I'm glad the bucks party didn't get out of control.

Hi Leroy
This has been discussed a bit , but we have to come up with a genuinely practical solution to this problem , last time I encountered this it wasn't with the
young set so even that high frequency mossie noise generator I here some people talking about wouldn't have worked

Just down the road from
King Hut is Pineapple Flat. A much more comfortable, out of the way location..

We camped at Kings becasue you don't get the hoards of people there. These idiots came past at 10pm and headed off towards Pineapple Flat. I reckon they got there and came back because of too many people.

I believe there are only three possible solutions Robin:
1 -
Bush camp in
places others don't go.
2 - If some d-head does decide to
camp next to you... move
camp ASAP.
3 - I always like to be doing a little target practice with the loudest firearm I have if anyone seems to be thinking of camping close to my (nearly always remote) camps.
If people have a genuine problem (vehicle issues, child issues etc) they'll have the courtesy to talk to you and say "Do you mind but...) and that's fine - otherwise I go bush to get away from people. However, frankly, if you go to the known and
well used bush campsites you can't really complain if other people want to use them too... however noise at 1AM is not acceptable.
