OK, I have done some searching on the
Forum about these tyres.
Do the owners of the Goodyears who experienced some "bubbles" on the sidewall have any further info?
Did it turn bad? Any support issues from Goodyear?
Maxxis owners: any updates on your experiences?
BFG owners: any more delaminating issues?
I don't want much do I?
cheers

Maxxis "bighorns" 265/75/16
Very Happy with price $200 each
Very happy with on road grip and off road performance
minimal chipping and block damage
20000km old now.
Should get 50000 with the current rate of wear
Not too bad for a mud tyre
But will look at A/T's next
Cheers Stefan

Have been running a set of Maxxis 751s AT in 235/85 16.
Would rate them as an 'average' AT tyre for grip on bitumen and dirt.
Havn't done much sand with these so not sure how they bag out.
Good milage (kilometerage?) at a good price - around $200.00
Have not run BFG or Goodyears on this vehicle for comparison, but have run Kumho, Firestone, Toyo & Coopers on this vehicle. All AT.

Careful...you'll blow a fuse.
I have Yokohama's , will be a damn long time before I am ready to give you a report, I have dropped from about 170,000 per year to maybe 25,000 if I'm lucky, feel like I'm going mouldy.

I fitted Maxxis Bravo 751 275/75/16 onto my 80 series Cruiser and have been more than happy over the last 15000 km's. Road holding, wear and road noise are fine. Good brand, i will get another 60.000 km's out of them.
Cheers, Udo

Steve, For what it is worth I have a client that does tours around the
Kimberley with a 4x4 canter and trailer. He previously used an OKA and I have noted that the tyres on the bus and the trailer are Hankooks, not aggressive but he must be getting some good life out of them to use them solely.

I don't know anything about the Maxxis.
I know two ppl with the silent armour. One is happy, does lots of
miles but not much offroad, the other changed before they wore out, bubbles in side!!!
I have not seen BFG AT's with problems, though I have read on here that some did about 4 years ago. I have had them on 3 4X4's and have no reason to look at something else. My current set have done 83,000 KLM should last out the year.
