Shifter on 92 model auto has gone "floppy". Got diagram from Nissan but most parts unavailable. Have not removed and thinking of getting whole assembley from wrecker, but about $100, so seek any advice as to whether problem will be a bush, a clip or what, and whether easily fixed?

I had the same problem with my Landcruiser. Went to put it in 4wd and it felt as if it wasn't connected. Actually it wasn't ! I took the boot off and lo and behold a bolt had come loose. Tightened it and voila !
I hope yours turns out to be as simple.

Same thing happened with my TDI disco. bolt fell out and then no low range.
Nothing else ever went wrong with it over nearly 8 years of ownership. Quite a record for a Disco. Great car ruined by landrover australia.
