Will 205r16 tubes fit 225/75 16 tyres?

Getting the new tyres next week I ordered Coopers AT. Just wondering when I get the new tyres if my existing 205r16 tubes can still be used as some of them are pretty new and I also have some new spares lying around?

Yes they will fit, they'll simply stretch like a balloon til they fit the casing, which is what provides the strength to hold the pressure. I've done similar a few times, and never had any problems, but hwat you might find is if you go back to 205's the tubes will have stretched and will no longer fit without crimping and subsequent failure. Clear as mud? Good.

yes they will fit,
but i see it evey day fitting old tubes to new tyres and 5 out of ten will have problems.dont know why i guess the tubes get settled in the old tyres.
for the sake of $10 each i would recomend fitting new tubes and keeping all your old ones as spares.looking foward to september(landcruiser park/fraser island)

I saw some tubes which had failed because the tyrefitter did not remove the sticky labels and thes had worn through the tubes . Make sure they're removed and dusted with talc

Funny you should say that I had to change a friends tyre the other day got the tube out felt the inside of the tyre of foreign objects, couldn't find any so blew up the tyre and the sticker glue had perished the tube.
