TWO Scottish tourists walked 12 hours through the night after their car became bogged - at Boggy Hole.

They started walking for help around 6pm on Tuesday and arrived at the small community of Old Station about 6am yesterday after walking 29km.

Police said the men were dehydrated and tired but otherwise unhurt.
They returned the men to the bogged car and towed the vehicle out.

Apparently they were carrying 1litre of water between them and walked past a waterhole at night!
They hadnt even dropped the tyre pressure.
At least they had the brains to walk at night I suppose?

Just remember its still bloody hot up here and (40+ most days) so take plenty of water!!!!

Cheers

Gidday Hairy

Buggar the tourists.

Just received your photographs. Great shots mate, and it looks like the family had a terrific time.

Unfortunately there is one photograph that may be published on this site when the time is right.....guess who? (not really).

Regards

Kim

"they were carrying 1litre of water between them "
They were so lucky! I wouldn't have survived with half a litre of water.
The question is, how much scotch did they have ? :))

They were probably too "thrifty" to drink from a passing waterhole (one side of my family was Scottish...about 9 generations ago)
