Late last year (about Sept) info was posted regarding supercharging a nissan 4.2 diesel. Any additional update on the project would be appreciated. I am interested in supercharging as my turbo comes in a bit high in the rev range (MTQ Turbo upgrade??)

Hi Footoo, I didn't see the post last yr, But I have a 80series 4.2 diesel that was supercharged by sprintex in Perth around 10yrs ago done 180k kms, the only prob I have had has been mechanics not knowing how to loosen off the belt tensioner and bending the bar, The power is there as soon as you turn the key, excellent low down grunt, makes passing roadtrains etc effortless. At the time I had mine done Sprintex would not do Nissians as they had blow en the bottom end out of the few they had done, things may have changed since. The last ph # I have is 0892627277 - 73Resource Way Malaga WA 6090 web www.sprintex.com.au

Hi Snake, I can't remember exactly now the power increase it puts out more at the rear wheels than a normal 1hz does at the fly wheel, fuel con depends on how you put the boot into it, towing a camper @100-110KMPH AROUND 7-7.5km/ Lt, @ 80kmph~8.5-9 km/Lt. @120-130kmph~5km/Lt.I've done over150k with it on. I drove a mates normally asp 1Hz the other day, two completely different machines.

Give Jeff at The 4wd Workshop on Dandenong rd in Frankston a call, 03 97861818, he's about to do one in a couple of weeks time.
He'll be using a 1.8 litre positive displacement blower, in a similar set up to the one on my petrol.

Cheers
Pezza

Thanks for the info, will definately follow up on that one. Apologies for the delay in replying as I have been traveling a bit of late (unfortunately not the 4wd touring type).

regards.
