just in the process of transferring my brake sender unit to a late 2004 120series prado gxltd. any info on the best place to connect the brake feed wire. vehicle is fitted with factory cruise control.

Probably on the cold side of the switch on top ofthe brake pedal

Not necessary, each magnet draws about 2 amps max. Even for a tandem 4mm wire is sufficient.

I am in error above, I meant that the power wire comes off the out (cold) side of the brake light circuit as per wiring diagram. The blue or brake activation wire comes from the unit itself.

We always run a twin core all the way back to the trailer plug, that way you avoid any hassles playing around with cruise control etc under the dash.

I agree, bring a wire back from the tail lights. Cruise control, abs and other computer controlled items can be affected by the controller connected to the brake light switch.
