i have a question i have a 98 lc 105 series gxl i have noticed a couple of times when driving on an otherwise good road that the car gets this pulsing feeling when driving its kind of like the feeling when you have warped discs and it pulses under brakes but this is just driving at about 60kmh and then it goes away after a few seconds ,maybe its just the road suface and its my imagination its an automatic turbo diesel other rhan that car is beautiful
any help would be great thankx

How many KM's has it done.
Does it feel like the tail-shafts may need balancing.

Check the turbo hoses for a split or loose hose clamp.
Also
check the fuel filter for any contamination.

i will
check the hose clamps and stuff but the motor is running perfect and there is no indication or feeling that it caused from the motor when it happens it does feel like it is coming from underneath or as i said it could be just the road suface

yeah it does have ABS its just seems to happen when coasting about 50-60 kmh at about 1500 -1800 rpm and i noticed that when at a set of trafic lights and you just let your foot off the brake a fraction so it is creeeping forward it feels like it is surging maybe the problem is linked and its the auto

My 99 105 gxl auto had a surge just after it changed into top gear with slight throttle, 65-70km/hr, turned out to be the fuel pump was U/S-loosing fuel pressure internally I think.
Mine had done 380,000km

brentos,
mine cost me next to nothing to get done as i am in the trade, so only had to pay for the parts at cost, new fuel pump body and something else only cost 300.
not sure what the retail price is? i think a pump fitted is about 1500??
regards
jason
