cruiser shocks

Can anyone advise me on installing front shocks and steering damper on rigid axle 100 series cruiser Thanks Loz.

I assume you mean replace!
Shocks = easy. Steering Dampener = need special tool.
With shocks just remove old ones and then you'll know how the new ones go on. All you need is the correct sized spanners for the nuts at the ends. Best to replace the rubbers as well - new shocks should come with them.

If it's the same as 80 series I needed no special tool for the steering damper...apart from a big hammer.

Yeah bit hard to explain how to get the steering dampner ends off without showing you, but because they are a taper fit you need to apply force (to pull the taper apart) while hitting the area with a big hammer. Best is a tyre lever or big screw driver. Can really take some effort to remove. Best to spray the mounts with a WD40 type spray well before to help loosen.

Shocks are easy - just undo top and bottom mount and pull out. Just remember how the bushes/plates go as you pull the old ones out. Don't over tighten the new ones either - this will destroy your new bushes in no time.

Or use a puller similar to one used on ball joints!!?????
