Surely someone who frequents this site has been up and down the OTL already this season????
Please inform us of the heights of the water in the creeks.... I heard it is non existent.... Is this true???

By the time you get up there most of the crossings will be all but dry, and gunshot was never a real problem late in the year drove it both ways many a time.

Haven't been up there this year - but things can change quaite dramatically from year to year. I'm sure the Cape York Connections person who posts often can attest to this.

Having said that - you're are partly right. Gun Shot was a doddle last year and had clearly seen some work to make it easier.

Voxson the otl is still there but there is more to the cape than just the otl .
Peter has done 2 trips up and back this year and says its still fun .
I will be doing my trip starting on july 1 so if you see a black and grey 60 flash your lights say hello we will be on ch 16 UHF.

Yes Eric,, a lot more than the OTL to see...
I want to see every track leading to every water hole and beach and travel through every forest range in 22days... I think i have no chance but we will try...
