About 12 months ago I purchased a laptop and software as follows:
OziExplorer
Natmap
UBD
usb (gps) mouse.
As my wife is the computer operator along the way on our travels she would like to know how all this software works, as to date we have not been able to use it.
Is there anyone in
Perth who she could go to see to find out how to use all this software?
our email address is:
ahsmythe@tpg.com.au
We would appreciate hearing from anyone who can help.
Many thanks
Allan Smythe

Don't call me I'm hopeless. LOL I'm still battling with the instruction manual for the unit Doug sold me.
Now if Doug was still living in
Perth you'd have a guru.
Never used OziExplorer Doug, seen it used but don't have it.

Don't forget that just about every windows software of good quality will have a help file. Try pushing the F1 key when the software is open (Oziexplorer).
I would suggest you put a few days aside and be prepared to spend a lot of hours getting to know the basics, this is how most people have learn't and there aren't any quick easy ways around this.
Having someone show you will speed it up a bit, but it is still up to you to get your head around it all.
It is quite a comprehensive program and there is a lot to learn.
I would take it in small steps at a time and be carfull you don't get shown everything the program can do in one go other wise you will forget all of it and be no better off.
If someone is going to show you the basics, do your self a flavour and read the first couple of chapters of the help file, even print them out and read a couple of times, that way you will get more out of your "lesson" because you will hopefully take more in because it kinda means something

Thinking outside the square;
post a members gathering to somewhere easy like dwelingup, take the computer and all your software. The you may have a captive pool of expertise in attendance to provide information.
And you get a weekend away.
