Can anyone suggest / recommend a tuning workshop with dyno and knowledge of TD in the Frankston (Vic) area. I still have a jerky acceleration problem at times under heavy throttle in my GU Patrol 2.8 TDI.
I thought I had sorted it before a trip to Innamincka last week but it still comes back on occasion. Feels like the waste gate is opening to far or the turbo is sluggish, only done 50k so can't be worn out ??

If in doubt, latest 4wd monthly has article on West End and what they do. They also did mates car, Christie Creation the comp truck, and you should see what they can do with a Diesel according to Pete Christie!

Good luck.

Truckster,
I contacted Westend Diesel last week regarding a simple conversion form a 4.2 pet to a 4.2 Diesel im my SWB. Can't remember the guy i talked to but he had a slight accent. I asked him a few questions regarding the conversion, bellhousing, mounts.......... He was unable to help and could not shed any light on my question, is there someone there that i should ask for??????

Thanks
Chris

The man to speak to is Peter Christie on the Patrol list.

He has done this and knows MQ/MK - GQ - GU running gear inside out, and has a TD42 that lights up 38x15's...

www.yahoogroups.com and search for patrol4wd
then just post to Peter, or search the archives, as its been done before.

You wont regret it!!

THe bloke with the accent was Devish I think. Hes the Diesel Guru, but remembering a conversion isnt always 'simple'.. thousands of cars adn motor combo's hard to remember them all, specially when your core business is trucks...

Got to agree west end would have to be one of the better ones and they do a proper job. Not the cheapest but you get what you pay for and how much is a rebuild worth?

Oz Auto 4X4 Centre in SEAFORD/Carrum Downs.

I was recommended this place on Exploroz website. Tried it and I was very happy with the service.
