About 10 of us are going camping on the ocean side a bribie Island in a few weekends. I need to book the campsites on the web but I'm not sure which one. There are 66 of them. can anybody give me any ideas which are the good sites for a large group and in a good location.

Thanks

Last year I booked a large site that could cater for up to 12, I think it was 62. We got a Caravan and a Dual Axle Camper in there and it was neally full.

You would have been flat out putting up a couple of tents as well.

As for location, they are all about the same, except higher the number the further you have to drive up the beach.

Thing is out of the 66 designated campsites only 8 or 9 are really suitable for A SINGLE camper trailer , nearly all of the sites a orientated to hold a tent only ,, bollards ect , no fires allowed at ANY TIME , no such thing any more as a weekly beach driving permit ,, monthly permit $34 or Yearly permit $100 per vehicle ,, the only sites that could hold 10 are the ones close to thetoilets ,, bollards every bl___ding where ,,

Thanks everyone for your replies. I called the Bongaree caravan park and they said the largest site is no 61 (min of 10 max 16) and site 60 (max 12). However these are already booked so I'll try my luck with the others.

Cheers
