Quite some time ago someone was asking about how to get Webpages to open full screen instead a half screen , One of the webpages he used is EO , I too have been for months having the same problem , have to maximise the page everytime it's open , This is NOT an EO problem , it's with all webpages, so I finally decided to investigate today and found it is a default setting , If your using "NVIDIA nView Desktop Manager" below is the setting to solve the problem

Sounds like a bug in your Nvidia driver.

The control you are adjusting is for using more than one monitor.

If you are only using one monitor, turn off "Enable spanning across multiple displays" and it will probably fix the issue.

In any case make sure you have the latest Nvidia driver, they update them frequently.

"Enable spanning across multiple displays" has nothing to do with the issue,Though I do suppose it could be turned off, It's working fine now,

The post was put up to aid others who might have the same thing happening .Not all computers will have this system .

try dragging your window out to the edges (but not maximised) and File>Exit and then reopen

It may not be maximised but it will be pretty close

I can't say I have noticed any problems with minimising/maximising so I guess it must be a setting somewhere

For IO users: 'double click' on coloured (blue) header at top of window to maximise.
To return to previous size 'double click' again and it will return to original size.

That way you can 'work' in various windows all at same time.

For the more game - this one gets to the root of the problem in the registry

[Start] [Run] [Regedit]
Registry Key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Console
Modify/Create the Value Name [FullScreen] according to the Value Data listed below.
Data Type: REG_DWORD [Dword Value] // Value Name: FullScreen
Value Data: [0 = Disabled / 1 = Enabled]

[Start] [Run] [Regedit]
Registry Key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\InternetExplorer\Main
Modify/Create the Value Name [FullScreen] according to the Value Data listed below.
Data Type: REG_SZ [String Value] // Value Name: FullScreen
Value Data: [Modify Value to (Yes)]
Exit Registry and Reboot

Cheers

be very careful with regedit

in that area of the PC's workings you have the ability to completely stuff up your operating systemi

if you have windows XP then make a system restore point before attempting it
