I had the camera on its short tripod, when filming, I would hold the tripod (closed up) sitting on my leg, press record and NOT look thru the view finder or flip screen.
With the camera fixed at 90 degrees to the tripod, it is not hard to guess at what's the camera is looking at when the tripod is held vertical.
By the time I got to blue rag, It was easier to get right without looking, as you can see that is NO PLACE to be driving thru the camera, and yes I did what you see holding the steering wheel with one hand, Had I plummeted of the edge, at least they would've seen what went wrong and there would've been no great mystery, and besides I had no one else to hold the camera for me.
One bad call I made was using 2ND low up that steep bit, just didn't have the power, lots of weight, remembering that it was set-up in desert travel mode.
From a safety perspective, I do expect some flack, fair call, but it came out pretty good , so I thought I would share.
