The NSW NPWS site makes reference to some road closures in the park from 01 Jun until October. Just how extensive are the closures? Is there any point visiting the NP after 01 June? We are locked into the QLD school holidays - late June/early July.
Any advice greatly appreciated.

I think Barrington Trail is one and it has been closed for a while due to discussions with a landowner who's patch of dirt the track crosses. The other is probably a section of Thunderbolts trail that is closed when its wet anyway. The road into Junction Pools was sometimes closed, but they have done a lot of work to it so I think it is all weather now.

The main road will also get closed when it snows heavily.

It's still worth a look though, especially the road to the North of the main Rd as it is state Forest and has more tracks.
If in doubt, call NPWS at Gloucester and ask them.

Thanks Hoyks. The main road to which you refer, is it the Gloucester Tops Rd or The Barrington Tops Forest Rd?

Was up there yesterday and all rds were open other than to 2wd which there was a sign stating that it was closed to 2wds.
Only because of the rain and the Rd/track was a bit boggy

In the winter any hint of snow will close the main rd but it still has plenty to offer as well so i wouldnt hesitate in going up there

Thanks Kimbo. What do you regard as the main road?
