Can anyone point me at a good source of info for what part of the country is presently under flood?
I'm planning a quick'ish trip back from Townsville (to SE SA) at the end of may (to coincide with another event). I reckon by then much of the country now under water will look amazing.
I know some folks NW of
Longreach who have been on a fly-in, fly-out basis for a while, but I'm curious to know just which other parts of central & SW Queensland, western NSW & NE SA have had a good drink.
Rough plan is to head south from
Longreach. Not sure whether I'll go through
Birdsville & down the track, or down the border to
Broken Hill.
Cheers,
John

I came
home this arvo from a quick trip in northern SA. There is only a few inches of water over the causeway at Innaminka. There is no water anywhere on the
Birdsville Track. The
Inside Track is Open but the fine people at Clifton Hills keep removing the sign at the turn off. I don't know about anything in NSW
