Hi, thinking of having a Hi-top tropical roof made for our Kimberely Kamper. Do they really make that much difference?
Thank you our jayco1

G'day,

Yes they do make a difference, cooler in full sun when no shade available and reduction of condensation issues on cold nights.

Our main problems have wind related. Due to one end being held by velcro only, it came free during a windy night and the batten speared through our awning. I have since rectified this by having an eyelet sewn into the canvas to attach it more securely.

There is also a lot of flapping during windy conditions which can disturb your (and your neighbours') sleep. This has been overcome to some extent by raising one end on poles.

Talk to your KK dealer about these issues as our model is now 2 years old and has probably been superseded.

Cheers,
Paul
