If you see these guy's in the next 18 months throw them a couple of $$.

Russel is a friend of ours, he has been setting this trip up for 8 years that I have known him, all for charity.

Some of you may have met Russel as he worked at Williams Creek Station doing camel trecs.

I will let Russel tell you.

Darwin to Melbourne " Thank you" Camel Expedition.

Cheers Steve.

Gday Steve,
Do you know of Dean Koopman?
He left Broome with Camels heading for Melbourne a couple of years back?
Ended up in Hawker S.A last I heard.

Cheers

No I have never met him.

I know Russel as we worked together as Guides for a few years, I actually asked him to be a business partner, but he had this trek to sort out and achieve.

When we first met he had a camel on his property called Megawati.

Cheers Steve.

I would have thought that the VKS network would have been involved as well?

We met russel and the girl last October just outside finke on the way to Alice with some camels and had a good chat with them. We are looking forward to following their progress and may be eventually meeting them again in mel.

AFAIK,

he and she were working for Phil Gee, based out of William Creek in northern SA.

seehttp://www.austcamel.com.au/explore.htm

The patch they took tours on is Anna Creek Station and The Peake Station, part of the Kidman network of properties.

(William Creek station does not exist).

Cheers
