I have seen some discussion on the
forum about winch or recovery points on front of 80 series. I have an ARB winch bar with two flanged tow point and I guess what is two standard tiedown points bolted into the chassis. I'm not convinced the ARB flanges are strong enough but the flanges look O'K. I tried to fit some 10000lb tow hooks but none of the holes line up in the chassis and the bull bar doesn't let you get inside even if I drill new holes. Any one had the same problem or do you use the existing tie downs ???

Ok Have found probably the best advise archived on the
forum for Troopy tie downs and
mine look as substantial as the troopy I guess, so using a bridle and stand clear looks like good advise.

AFAIK someone sells the recovery points that DO line up on the 80. Do a
forum search.

People will try and tell you the loops are just tie down points. Which they may be but are plenty strong enough for any 1/2 decent recovery. There would be plenty of bogged yotas sill in the bush if they wernt
