For life of me I can't post a picture on this site

How do you post a photograph on this site. I can't place pictures in the Members section, or include them in a response to a post.

I've tried just about everything, including construction of a Word document, compression and all manner of things.

The other night I tried to send a copy of Alfred Canning's original map in response to a post. The text went through, but not the photograph.

What am I doing wrong?

PS All the photographs are in My Documents, and I run XP Profesional.

Have you got the pic hosted on a site such as photobucket?

Use the 'Insert Image' button at the bottom when you post.

You can then browse your computer, find the photo in it's directory and click upload - you can also name it.

The code will then appear in the post.

Sorry - didn't put al lthe instructions in - go to insert image on the post - upload photo - search browse - ("my documents") select photo - (douible click) - load (little thing goes round and round) Image Could Not Be Found can take a while but will get there - keep persisting
