Came back from
Marree way this week, while there learnt that there is to be 21 Km more bitumen between
Marree and
Lyndhurst, they are tarring all the floodouts and creeks, to get the total of 21 km which was apparently Commonwealth funded. Also there is going to be 5 three lane bitumen overtaking lanes, each 5 km long built on the Strezlecki track between
Lyndhurst and Moomba over the next year or so. Be safer for getting past those road trains at least, but kinda sad in some ways. Soon I'll leave the Hilux
home and go bush in the wife's Mazda.

I reckon we'd better get out to the Simo' and CSR before they run blacktops across them for the caravaners.

If they were in NSW, there'd be a Toll road across them already LOL
