What a beautiful trip that was. We only had 2 weeks down there but that was enough time to get a good idea and find out where to go back to.
Thank you so much for the tips we got where to go and we did manage to visit most
places. All in all we did 6000km from
Brisbane and back. We ended up staying in
Mole Creek for 3 days and spend some time along the east coast. Visited the markets in
Hobart and had a look at
Port Arthur. We will go back for sure and anybody thinking of visiting Tasmania do it. Very
well worth the trip.
Thanks again for all the good advise.
Cheers
Reiner

Yep- spent 4 weeks down there in January. Couldn't agree more.
West Coast was the highlight, and there are some great 4WD tracks down there as
well.
Have to recommend
Gordon River and
Strahan area - boat is the only way to do the
Gordon, but definitely worth it. Now have to work out how to spend more time on the river - thinking of rafting it.
Cheers
Andrew.

Hi Reiner
I'm off to Tassie is a week or so- going to Mt William Nat Park, down the East coast then over to
Mole Creek. Any recommendations about where to
camp around
Mole Creek?
cheers

We stayed in a camping ground 4km west outside
mole creek. If you don't need power you can
camp right on the creek. Good showers and
toilets, fire-wood hidden behind the pinetrees( ask caretaker, he is 4 houses down the road)
$17 per night
well worth it.
Have a good trip.

Linda, while camped at
Mole Creek, go to
Devil's Gullet. There a couple of spots where you overlook a huge chasm with the mountains in the background (if the cloud lets you see them all). Awesome.

Thanks for the tips.
Devil's Gullet looks stunning-great photo, Motherhen. I've been to Tassie so many times but have never made it to Moles Creek yet. It never ceases to amaze me how such a small state can have so much to offer.
