Tyre Sizes

Hi everyone,

Can someone let me know what the imperial size is for 285/75 R16 it would be much appreciated.

285x75x16

285 is the width of the tyre in mm. converted to inches =11.220

to round off that would be a 11 1/4" wide

75 is the percentage of the width of the tyre that makes up the side wall

75% of 11 1/4 = 8.415" rounded off 8 3/8" side wall

To find the overall height of the tyre 16" rim size + 2x side wall

16 + 8 3/8 + 8 3/8 = 32 3/4 rounded off 33"

So to answer you question the tyre would be 33" x 11" x 16"

I think that the nearest size would be 33x11.5x33

Thanks for your note. I was looking for tyres for my 3.0 Lt patrol and my son asked what the imperial sizes was as there are a lot in the trading post. So thanks for the assistance.
