Hi All
In the last Three Months I have had Two broken windscreens, just
travelling to
Brisbane, on the M1 concrete Highway, I have noticed
lots of tiny chips / specs all over the windscreen, the glass seems
to be less durable than other vehicles we have owned, just wondering if the road is breaking up, I dont tail-
gate trucks ect.
has any body had the same problem.
Cheers
Daza.

Hi Daza, was on here the other day that all the screens are now made in china ???? Might have some thing to do with it,maybe the quality has gone down

Did one myself on the M1 about 1yr ago..
Don't think its anything to do with the road surface or we'd be seeing lots of breakages, like happened up the sunnie coast when they opened the Beerwah stretch a few years back. Was so bad they had to resurface the road. No compensation for those who
broke their screens though ;-(
The M1 carries lots of trucks, as you know, which have a habit of dropping all sorts of garbage on the road. Couple this with cars doing 110+ kph and you have a recipe for broken screens...
