We are going back for our second Simpson crossing this year. West to east, but I am after advise on which tracks to take. Last time we travelled the French track, WAA Line and back up the Knolls track. We are thinking of going down to the
Rig road from Lynnie
Junction off the WAA, and then back up Knolls track again for something different. We tend to prefer a challenge over an easy run and will have 5 capable vehicles / drivers. Open to suggestions here.

Hi psproule
If you are preferring a challenge, the
Rig Road is the easiest track to follow through the Simpson. Have you thought coming from the east to the west via the French Line? As you know, the nature of the dune make the eastern face a steeper challenge rather than the west face, which is often cut up. It does not matter which way you travel
the desert, it is still a great place to visit.
Cheers
Stephen
